1 Timothy 2:1

I urge you, first of all, to pray for all people. Ask God to help them; intercede on their behalf, and give thanks for them.

It is the season of giving and thankfulness, but it is also the season of giving a helping hand and caring for others.

1. Pray for all people. You do not know everyone’s story or their struggles, so do not discount them because of how things look on the outside. Pray for everyone.
2. Ask God to help them. We must not just ask God to help ourselves, but to help everyone. Help those we see struggling, those who look sad, or just those who look like they could use more prayer in their lives.
3. Intercede on their behalf. This might be difficult because we do not always know when we are needed. Be aware of what is going on in other people’s lives and intercede when you think you are needed, not just when they ask.
4. Give thanks for them. We have so much to be thankful for and sometimes take advantage of this fact. We need to remember to be thankful for more than just “things.” Give thanks for everyone in your life. No matter what part they play in your life, give thanks and watch what happens.
